About

The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are often called “the people’s goals”. They were adopted by governments in 2015. But people helped choose the SDGs and, to help achieve them by 2030, citizens around the world need to raise their voices, adopt sustainable behaviours and take positive action.

Organisations committed to the SDGs thus have a mandate to communicate and engage with citizens. No matter where in the world they are, they must raise awareness, engage in dialogue and mobilise people into action for sustainable development.

If your job involves these things, then welcome to the community of SDG Communicators! This portal is designed for you. You will find:

  1. Stories of good practice and innovation in SDG communications.
  2. Links to resources and tools to help communicators achieve greater impact.
  3. Guidance, analysis & data on public attitudes, citizen engagement and the SDGs.

The SDG Communicator is powered by the OECD Development Communication Network (DevCom).
